Wednesday Morning Contemplative Shacharit at Temple Beth Zion, Brookline

(Enter by door on street level on left-hand side of TBZ. Services are held in the sanctuary.)
All are welcome. No previous meditation experience necessary. Our weekly service will begin with a period of silence, followed by a contemplative, devotional-chant approach to the morning liturgy. Carl Woolf, who has studied Jewish Devotional Chanting with Rabbi Shefa Gold, will guide us in the use of chanting, silence and liturgy as part of the morning service. This meditation group is open and accessible to experienced as well as new meditators, people from all Jewish backgrounds and levels of observance, as well as people of all faiths. In addition to meditation and Jewish teachings, various weeks include meditation instruction, Q&A, discussion, and/ or gentle yoga. Drop-in. No pre-registration required.
Suggested donation $10. $5 Eitz Chayyim members, students & elders. No one turned away for lack of funds.
